Speke Hall, Liverpool

Speke Hall, Liverpool

Speke Hall - with easy access from Merseyside and Cheshire

Speke Hall, near Liverpool, is one of the finest examples of a timber-framed medieval house in England. The Hall boasts a Tudor great hall with secret priest's holes, as well as Jacobean and Victorian furnishings.  Surrounding the house are gardens designed in the 1850s.

It is a wonderful venue for a workshop with many interesting features to photograph.

The most interesting garden feature is a pair of yew trees, dubbed Adam and Eve. They are mentioned in documents of 1712 but are likely at least 500 years old and perhaps as old as 1,000 years.

We also run workshops at Ellesmere PortManchester and Congleton and Birds of Prey photography days at Glebe Farm.
