Going Digital Photography courses in Hornchurch and Romford are run at the Fairkytes Arts Centre. The centre is housed in an elegant Georgian house and offers a diverse range of workshops from painting and singing to dancing and drawing. Fairkytes is directly opposite Langtons Gardens a six acre landscaped park with a serpentine lake perfect for practicing your photography.
A Brief History of Fairkytes
Fairkytes was a private house originally built in the mid eighteenth century with several later additions to the property made up to the end of the nineteenth century. It is Grade II listed. Previous occupants include Job Alibone, Joseph Fry (son of the famous prison reformer Elizabeth Fry) and Thomas Wedlake, who owned the Iron Foundry which stood opposite.
