Clevedon & Burnham-on-Sea
Clevedon & Burnham-on-Sea
Both Clevedon and Burnham-on-Sea are classic small seaside towns: Clevedon has a unique Victorian pier and Burnham-on-Sea is famous for the wooden low lighthouse.
Burnham-on-Sea is famous for its low lighthouse which was built in 1832. It is a Grade-II listed building with a red and white striped facade. The beach is long and sweeping and you can see across the Bristol Chnnel to Wales. Clevedon seafront has ornamental gardens, a Victorian bandstand and other attractions. Salthouse Field has a light railway running round the perimeter and is used for donkey rides in the summer.
